Construction of Seapointe Village started in the mid to late 80's. (around 1986). Completion of the over 500 homes and resort for the most part was in 1994 or so. Three seven story oceanfront buildings were built, North Beach, South Beach and Pinnacle. The North Beach building was the first one to be completed in 1987. The last, the Pinnacle was completed around 1992.


This article is about some of the changes since then.


Situated on almost 600 feet of privately owned beach between Wildwood and Cape May, Seapointe Village has such amenities as four pools (one is an indoor/outdoor pool), some with waterfalls, dancing water, slides, etc.), 2 tennis courts with pickleball lines included, bocce ball court, a small basketball court, exercise room, sauna, small playground, private beach, deli hut, etc.


Aside from the onsite amenities at Seapointe, Wildwood has a two-mile long Boardwalk with 5 big piers full of rides and amusements, 3 roller coasters, 3 waterparks plus hundreds of games, stores and restaurants. The boardwalk has a Tram Car that you can hop on to see it all for $4.00 each way. From just outside the Seapointe property, a private trolley to the Wildwood boardwalk will pick you up or you can take a short drive to the boardwalk instead.


Wildwood has bicycle rentals nearby, mini golf course, dinner cruises, jet ski rentals, many, many restaurants to choose from, a Convention center with various shows, many festivals throughout the summer and Fall and other events, Cape May right next door with tours of homes, mansions, great shopping and food, trolley rides, horse and buggy tours, etc.


In addition, don't forget Wildwood has some of the best beaches at the Jersey shore!

This writer purchased a home in Seapointe in 2003, thus has witnessed the changes starting from that time. From 2003 to 2018, Seapointe Village witnessed several changes that molded its identity and enhanced its allure. A kaleidoscope of developments unfolded during this period, painting a vivid picture of growth and adaptation.

In 2003, Seapointe Village stood at a crossroads, poised for reinvention. The early 2000s marked a significant turning point as the village embarked on a revitalization journey, embracing modernity while honoring its rich legacy.


The years from 2003 to 2018 saw Seapointe Village blossoming, hosting musicians that brought the community together as well as other events.


Throughout the years, Seapointe Village underwent a series of renovations and upgrades to refine its offerings and elevate the visitor experience. Such state-of-the-art amenities like a new indoor/outdoor pool and large jacuzzi was added in 2007. New townhomes and condos were added and incorporated around the pool along with some new water features for all to enjoy. The indoor pool and jacuzzi is open year round except for one week in May for maintenance.


A major upgrade to the main oceanfront pool area was completed in 2018. The 3 hot tubs are now much larger and have been relocated. Handicapped ramps have been added making it easier to maneuver and a new over the main pool waterfall curtain has been added. Lot of additional seating has been added overlooking the pool area with a view of the ocean and with it some misting stations.
